The avidin-biotin interaction has found extensive use as a
research tool. A variety of molecules, including lectins, proteins, and
antibodies, can be biotinylated and reacted with streptavidin-labeled probes
or other detection reagents for use in biological assays. Using Streptavidin-ZAP
and biotinylated targeting agents, specific cytotoxins can be created JUST
BY MIXING!
Getting Started
- Email ATS (contact form) or call toll-free (877) 889-2288 to discuss
your targeting project.
All discussions and services can be covered with a confidentiality agreement. - Send ATS your targeting agent (antibody, lectin, etc).
- ATS biotinylates your targeting agent and returns it to you with streptavidin-ZAP.
- You mix together your biotinylated targeting agent and streptavidin-ZAP to specifically eliminate cells that recognize and internalize your targeting agent.
