WBLyse™ is a gentle erythrocyte lysing reagent matched with a leukocyte preservative. Whole blood, or other body fluids with significant erythrocyte contamination is first incubated with monoclonal antibodies. The WBLyse™ fixative is added followed by the WBLyse™ lytic agent. The leukocytes are preserved while the erythrocytes are selectively lysed. The preservative protects the leukocytes and allows for analysis up to at least 24 hours after preparation. The preservative also inactivates many viruses which may be present in the sample thereby reducing the biohazard danger. The ability to preserve all leukocytes makes for a uniquely suited reagent system when pairing WBLyse™ with monoclonal antibodies to leukocyte antigens.

• WBLyse™ works on many types of specimens and is active against all erythrocytes.
• NOTE: Nucleated erythrocytes will not be lysed by this gentle procedure.
