Goat-ZAP

a chemical conjugate of affinity-purified rabbit anti-goat IgG
and the ribosome-inactivating protein, saporin

(molecular weight 210 kDa)

Goat-ZAP uses your goat primary antibody to target and eliminate cells. Upon binding to a goat IgG that recognizes an extracellular domain of a cell surface antigen, Goat-ZAP will be taken inside the cell by antibody-mediated internalization. The entrance of saporin into the cell will result in protein synthesis inhibition and eventual cell death after 2-4 days. This reagent can be utilized for screening goat IgG antibodies for internalization and/or their suitability to make potent immunotoxins.
